On Wednesday 24th October some of the Rainbow Preschool educators joined other Broken Hill Early Childhood Educators, along with Children and Family Services, for a morning of activities to celebrate children and highlights the importance of their right to play.
It was a great chance to meet friends, try lots of different play experiences and meet different agencies that can further support children and family wellbeing.

We held our second round of Family Maths and Science sessions for 2018 at the end of Term 3. Children and families from Rainbow, and the Mobile units at Railway Town and North, enjoyed a variety of activities and everyone enjoyed the opportunity to share these experiences with their family and educators.
The Rainbow Team can't wait to do it again!

In the last couple of weeks the Fire Brigade has been to visit the children at Rainbow to talk about fire safety and give the children the chance to see firefighters dressed for action, look inside the truck and have a go at squirting the fire hose!
The children always enjoy these visits!

Children from Rainbow Preschool have had the chance to visit the town library to help celebrate Book Week this week. The library staff performed a play for the children base on the story Rodney Loses It by Michael Gerard Bauer and then there was some time for craft.
The children have also had the chance to dress up as their favourite book character, or something related to the Book Week theme, 'Find Your Treasure'.
Fun has been had by all this week, including the Rainbow educators, catching a bus, dressing up and going out and about and we can't wait to do it again next year.
